Helpful details or advice on how to cope with "loss"?
I'm speaking about loss of like material things. Like for an example my family is doing this whole Spring cleaning thing and they have thrown out some of my things already (things from my past) and I guess I'm required to get rid of a lot of stuff too to make room. These things mainly entail papers, drawings, notes, letters, etc. from my past that I find to be important to me. When they get destroyed or thrown away I feel as though that's a part of my memory that is being destroyed. I don't think I'm a hoarder because my room is quite exquisite in regards to cleanliness but I have like all of these stuff from my past (in boxes) that I now have to give up. I'm trying to hide as much as I can but I know inevitably it will have to go. Any good ways in dealing with this loss that will happen?
