New, 2 day old lip ring. Help is needed and appreciated!!?

Okay, i got my lip pierced two days ago. so first off i had a stud in and the metal flat part on the inside on my lip was digging into my lip because it was so swollen. I switched to a hoop even tho they say not to take it out or switch em, i had to tho! It hurt! anyways, now where the indent/circle where the flat part was cutting my lip and alittle bit intside the piercing theres this white stuff...i dont think its puss becuase its not a liquid and i tried to clean it with a Qtip but it doesnt seem to be coming out. The front also has some crusty stuff i cant get to come out! The front is kinda red and its still fairly sore. i read up alot about it and people say that its just healing, and soreness is normal while its still swollen(which it is). but i wanted to ask to find out! And if it is/gets infected what do i do? I dont want to take it out becuase i went thru all the trouble to pierce it.
