What if a hoarder get his/her way?

As a hypothetical, what if a hoarder happen to have a very wealthy family member, who instead of trying to stop the hoarding just increases the house size and arranges the mess, making it impossible for the hoarder to actually affect anyone around it? Will they still see the value of their hoarding? Will they become discourage in their actions?
