What kind of ghost would leave a handprint?

My son is 4 years old the other day he woke up crying and saying mommy I needed you. Then when he came downstairs I noticed a handprint on his chest bigger than his hand and longer than mine. It was indented into his skin. It stayed like that for a good three hours. I have thought of every thing i can think of like maybe he had his hand there. But no the whole handprint wouldnt have showed up and it wouldnt have been bigger than his hand. Now we are starting to hear weird noises in our home and you know that feeling you get when you are being watched? Well we are. Can someone please help me? Is it a bad ghost or good? I don't want anything else to happen to my son. How can I prevent something like this? What should I do?
