Why do i love him so much?

Its been over 4 years since I meet him. He hurt me over 2 years ago and we left it at that. Even though we never really hooked up back then, I really loved him. Even though I've had boyfriends after him and dated I really never loved any of them. I even have a crush right now but they come and go. I feel like the feelings I had for him are indented in my heart. I havent even seen him for over an year though. They say if I find a new guy I'll forget about him but no one is better.
